INTERNSHIPS (AUDIT & TAX)


Our internships are usually full-time positions available in the Spring of each year, usually 3-4 months long. We are looking for interns who are in an undergraduate or graduate accounting program, are earning a 3.0 GPA or better, have completed both Intermediate Accounting courses and at least one tax course. We provide an opportunity to learn public accounting hands-on. We provide a variety of experiences due to our broad client base. It’s our desire that our internships lead to a full-time position. Our interns need to be hard-working team players who have a desire to learn in a fun environment.



ASSURANCE STAFF


This position will complete assurance procedures related to planning and fieldwork on all types of engagements. The requirements for this position are:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field, from an accredited college/university
•    Must be CPA exam eligible and working toward obtaining license
•    Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in public accounting
•    Ability to travel out of town at least 6 weeks a year



TAX STAFF

This position will complete the preparation of tax returns such as federal forms 1040, 1041, 1120S, 1065, and various state and local returns. The requirements for this position are:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field, from an accredited college/university
•    Must be CPA exam eligible and working toward obtaining license
•    Minimum of 1 year of relevant tax experience in public accounting



ASSURANCE SENIOR

This position will supervise and handle small audit engagements and work on portions of larger and more challenging engagements. Seniors perform most work assigned with minimum assistance, including job planning, fieldwork and completion. They often lead one or more associates, instruct them in work performed, and direct necessary work revisions. The requirements for this position are:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field, from an accredited college/university
•    Licensed CPA OR currently meets CPA exam eligibility requirements and is working toward obtaining license
•    2+ years of relevant experience in public accounting
•    Ability to travel out of town at least 6 weeks a year



TAX SENIOR

This position will perform a variety of tax and accounting tasks mostly encompassing preparation of returns in the individual and small business realm with the opportunity to also perform first level review. You will work on a variety of client deliverables including preparation of tax returns such as federal forms 1040, 1041, 1120S, 1065, and various state and local returns. The requirements for this position are:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field, from an accredited college/university
•    Licensed CPA OR currently meets CPA exam eligibility requirements and is working toward obtaining license
•    Minimum of 2 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting



ASSURANCE MANAGER

This position will oversee the day-to-day operations of multiple engagements, including preparation of the audit strategy and business plans, setting and monitoring budgets, scheduling audits, selecting staff and assigning workloads, and financial reporting. They will participate in performing audit procedures, especially focusing on complex and/or specialized issues. The requirements for this position are:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field, from an accredited college/university
•    Licensed CPA (U.S.)
•    Minimum of 5 years current or recent audit/assurance experience in public accounting
•    Ability to travel out of town at least 6 weeks a year



TAX MANAGER

This position manages tax engagements and provides innovative tax planning, consulting, and compliance services to clients. They will supervise work of team members and review work product for completeness and accuracy, providing review comments and professional development as needed. They will manage client relationships and expectations and execute delivery of final work product. The requirements for this position are:

•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or a related field, from an accredited college/university
•    Licensed CPA
•    5 - 7 years of relevant tax experience in public accounting
